Want to see Lake Erie right now? Two organizations run almost every camera worth opening here. putinbay.com has six on South Bass Island, including two on Perry's Monument. Shores & Islands Ohio, the Ottawa and Erie county visitors bureau, runs about ten more along the mainland shore, from Marblehead Lighthouse to Vermilion. If one camera is down, the next one along the shore usually shows similar weather. Heading to Kelleys? The Marblehead Lighthouse cam looks over the same water the Kelleys Island Ferry crosses.
Off-season: what the cams show from November to March
The island cams keep running after the boats slow down. Once the lake freezes, the Ship House cam picks up ice-fishing shanties offshore. The ferries are the limit: the Jet Express season ends October 25, Miller's published 2026 schedule ends November 25, and the Kelleys Island Ferry keeps sailing as ice allows. In deep winter the island air taxi is the way over.

Yes. Mr. Ed’s “Hi Mom!” cam on putinbay.com looks both ways along Delaware Avenue, the main downtown street, and the Boardwalk cam shows the harbor right beside it. Open both to see how busy downtown and the docks are right now.
Are there Port Clinton webcams?
Yes. Shores & Islands Ohio runs two Port Clinton views: City Beach and the Port Clinton Lighthouse. They show the water on the Jet Express side of the lake.
Is there a Marblehead Lighthouse webcam?
Yes. Shores & Islands Ohio runs a live camera at Marblehead Lighthouse State Park that looks northeast over Lake Erie. It went live in February 2023, shows the light flashing at night, and its player has a time-lapse and a five-minute rewind.
Does Miller Ferry have a dock webcam?
Not a dock-line camera. The webcam page on millerferry.com shows the Shores & Islands Put-in-Bay Harbor feed. For conditions on the Catawba side, use the Shores & Islands Lake Erie, Catawba Island cam, and check the Miller Ferry schedule before you drive out.
Is there a Cedar Point webcam?
Yes. Cedar Point’s own live-video page has three cameras: Power Tower East, Power Tower West and Frontier Town.
How can I check Lake Erie water conditions before a ferry or boat trip?
Look at a webcam, then read the National Weather Service nearshore forecast. For Catawba, Port Clinton, Put-in-Bay, Marblehead and the Kelleys ferry, the zone is LEZ143 (Reno Beach to The Islands). Sandusky Bay and Cedar Point are in LEZ144.
Do the Put-in-Bay webcams work in winter?
Yes. The Put-in-Bay island cams run year-round, and once the lake freezes the Ship House cam shows ice-fishing shanties offshore. Plan the crossing around the ferries: the Jet Express season ends October 25, and Miller’s published 2026 schedule ends November 25.
